Women are a growing economic force. However, despite their tremendous intellectual capacity, some lack the interest, skills and experience to make confident decisions about their money. This is compounded by the unique challenges that women face. Not only do women typically earn less than men over their lifetimes due to wage disparities and fewer overall years in the workforce, but they need more money to cover their longer life expectancy. Our goal is to engage women in the process and therefore empower them to make the best financial decisions possible to achieve their financial goals.
Maria Cornelius, Executive Vice President, is a member of Women and Finance, a community within the Financial Planning Association that invites advisors to discuss ways to best serve female clients. She is also a member of Direction$ for Women, a group that focuses on the unique way women relate to their investments. The mission of the group is to empower, educate, and engage women in the management of their personal finances.
